A Hearty Slice of Cheeseburger Heaven
Looking for the ultimate comfort food? This Cheeseburger Pie inspired by the Pioneer Woman brings all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger — savory ground beef, melted cheese, and a buttery crust — into a warm, satisfying slice that’s perfect for family dinners, potlucks, or casual weekends. It’s the kind of recipe that makes people go back for seconds (and thirds).

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Bisquick or similar baking mix
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
Optional toppings: sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, mustard drizzle, extra cheese
—
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or deep-dish baking pan.
2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Assemble the base: Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pie dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
4. Make the batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Bisquick, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour this mixture gently over the meat and cheese in the pie dish.
5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the pie is golden on top and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Serving Tip:
Top with a few slices of dill pickle, a drizzle of mustard or ketchup, and extra cheese for that full cheeseburger experience — pie style!
