How to Make Banana Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and line it with baking paper if desired.

- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth. A few small pieces are fine and add texture.

- Add melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until combined.

- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips or chopped nuts if using.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a skewer inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the loaf in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
